Job summary

Software Placement Group in Indianapolis seeks a hands-on Preventative Maintenance Technician to maximize CNC machine uptime. You will perform PMs, inspect components, and service lubrication and coolant systems to keep a high-precision manufacturing environment running safely.

The role emphasizes reading manuals, following PM procedures, and maintaining logs with strong attention to detail and safety practices such as lockout/tagout.

Qualifications

• Experience performing preventative maintenance on CNC machining equipment.
• Ability to read equipment manuals and PM procedures.
• Knowledge of lubrication, coolant, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Commitment to workplace safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on CNC equipment, including mills, lathes, and machining centers.
• Complete routine inspections and maintenance according to OEM recommendations and internal PM schedules.
• Inspect, lubricate, clean, adjust, and replace machine components as required.
• Maintain and service lubrication, coolant, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs; assist with schedules keeping.
• Coordinate more complex repairs with internal resources, vendors, or OEM service technicians.
• Monitor recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective or preventative actions.
