Job summary

Htprof is seeking a hands-on Preventative Maintenance Technician to support a precision CNC manufacturing environment in Indianapolis. You will perform scheduled maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment to maximize uptime, accuracy, and life of the tools.

You’ll work with production to identify potential issues before they cause downtime, complete routine PM tasks, document maintenance logs, and follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout.

Qualifications

• Prior experience performing preventative maintenance on CNC equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read equipment manuals and maintenance schedules.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work with shop tools safely and independently.
• Experience with coolant systems, filtration, chip conveyors, air compressors, chillers.
• Proactive, preventative maintenance mindset.
• Able to stand, bend, climb, lift, around equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on CNC equipment including mills, lathes, and machining centers.
• Inspect, lubricate, clean, and replace wear items and filters.
• Monitor fluid levels and coolant systems for proper operation.
• Coordinate complex repairs with vendors or service technicians when needed.
• Maintain maintenance records, logs, and service histories.
• Work with production to minimize downtime and ensure safety procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors for complex repairs.
• Maintain maintenance schedules and logs.
• Ensure safety procedures and lockout/tagout compliance.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
