Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled CNC Operator for our Antioch, TN facility to set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery producing high-quality parts. You will read blueprints, perform in-process and final inspections, and maintain documentation in a non-climate controlled, onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC operating experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or machining centers preferred.
• Knowledge of G-code and machine offsets.
• Quality inspection and documentation experience.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including loading materials, selecting tooling, and adjusting machine settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to ensure parts are manufactured to specifications.
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
• Monitor machine performance, make necessary offsets and adjustments, and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet production goals.
