Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Machine Operator CNC Laser in Bartlett, IL. This contract-to-hire role sets up and operates CNC laser machines, reads blueprints, inspects parts, and supports warehouse tasks on a second shift.

You will use measuring tools, troubleshoot minor issues, operate forklifts and overhead cranes, and collaborate with production to hit daily output, quality, and on-time delivery goals. Pay is $22.00-$28.00 per hour, fully onsite with benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years setting up and operating CNC laser machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for accurate cutting.
• Proficient with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, tapes).
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial production.
• Basic troubleshooting to maintain production flow.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC laser machines to work orders and specs.
• Operate CNC laser to cut materials to specified dimensions.
• Interpret blueprints and instructions for proper setup.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and safety.
• Troubleshoot basic machine issues to maintain flow.
• Handle materials and warehouse tasks.
• Package finished materials and prepare shipments.
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Follow safety procedures around heavy equipment.
• Collaborate with production to meet daily goals.
