Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Machinist for the 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:30am) to operate CNC and manual machines fabricating precision components. Strong attention to detail, ability to read blueprints, and commitment to quality are essential. Overtime may be required; safety and housekeeping are emphasized.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preferred trade certificate in machining. Experience with CNC/manual machinery is valued but not required for entry-level applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school certificate or specialized education in machining preferred.
• Previous CNC or manual machine operation valued but not required for entry-level applicants.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machine tools to fabricate or repair precision components, working within tight tolerances.
• Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machine setups, procedures, and optimal machining sequences.
• Apply GD&T knowledge to ensure product conformity.
• Use measuring instruments to inspect parts and ensure they meet specifications.
• Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials onto machines.
• Adjust feeds, speeds, and tool offsets to maintain quality production.
• Perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure performance.
• Operate overhead cranes safely to move materials and parts.
• Maintain accurate inspection documentation and production records.
• Communicate with team and supervisors to ensure priorities are met.
