Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC and conventional tools for aerospace components. You will read blueprints, verify finishes, and ensure safety and quality in a demanding manufacturing environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma, English fluency, and experience with CNC equipment. Shifts include a 3rd shift with a 15% differential, with 90 days of first-shift training before transition.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical work instructions.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics, machining principles, and metalworking processes.
• Experience operating CNC machining equipment.
• Ability to use precision measuring and inspection instruments.
• Familiarity with tight-tolerance machining and inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and conventional machine tools to manufacture and repair aerospace components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications to perform machining operations accurately.
• Machine components to precise dimensions and tolerances using established machining methods and procedures.
• Inspect and verify finished work using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Support cross-training, continuous improvement initiatives, and other production duties as assigned.
