Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a CNC Machinist in Mason, OH. The role focuses on programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts. You will read blueprints, apply GD&T, and work with various controls to ensure parts meet exact specifications.

The position requires experience with CNC lathes/mills, both 3-axis and 5-axis capabilities, and adherence to ISO/AS 9100 standards. Employment is contract-to-hire with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience using G&M coding for CNC programming.
• Hands-on experience operating CNC lathes and CNC mills.
• Experience with manual machining, including manual lathes and manual mills.
• Proficiency with Fanuc controls.
• Experience with Tosnuc controls.
• Experience using Mazatrol controls.
• Advanced knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Strong understanding of GD&T.
• Ability to work with orthographic drawings and machining parameters.
• Experience operating Haas CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to machine precision parts according to specifications.
• Work from blueprints and engineering plans to determine the most efficient machining process.
• Interpret GD&T to ensure parts meet dimensional and tolerance requirements.
• Use G&M coding to program CNC equipment and adjust programs for quality.
• Operate CNC lathes, mills, and manual machines to perform various operations.
• Utilize Fanuc, Tosnuc, and Mazatrol controls to run machines accurately.
• Perform boring and other precision machining tasks to exact specs.
• Read and interpret complex drawings to plan tasks.
• Operate equipment safely and perform preventive maintenance.
• Adhere to ISO and AS 9100 standards and document procedures.
• Monitor operations and inspect parts to maintain quality and productivity.
• Collaborate with team and engineering to resolve issues and improve processes.
