Aerotek is hiring for a 5-axis CNC Mill Operator or CNC Lathe Machinist in Dayton, OH. The role setting up and operating advanced 5-axis CNC mills, performing tool offsets, and editing G&M code directly at the machine in a climate-controlled shop.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience reading blueprints, performing tool offsets, and applying GD&T to achieve precision parts in stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and inconel. Join a team that values quality and efficiency.

Qualificações

• 3+ years setting up and operating 5-axis CNC mills.
• 3+ years reading blueprints for machined components.
• 3+ years performing tool offsets independently on CNC milling equipment.
• 3+ years performing G&M code program edits directly at the machine.
• Strong GD&T knowledge applied to precision machining.
• Proficient with tool changes and basic CNC troubleshooting at the machine.
• Experience with stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, or inconel.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate 5-axis CNC mills to produce precision components according to engineering specifications.
• Perform approximately one complete machine setup per shift.
• Perform 30 to 50 tool offsets per day, adjusting tools as needed.
• Run production lots typically 40 to 80 pieces, monitoring quality throughout the run.
• Manage cycle times from 3 minutes to 8 hours, optimizing uptime and throughput.
• Work with materials such as stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and inconel.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand tolerances and features.
• Perform G&M code edits on existing programs at the machine to improve performance.
• Verify GD&T tolerance conformity and tool wear; minimize scrap.
• Monitor machine performance and report issues promptly.
