Job summary

DPI Inc. in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team.

You will independently set up and operate CNC turning centers, interpret blueprints with GD&T, and ensure tight tolerances on aerospace, defense, cryogenics, and industrial components. You will select tooling and fixtures, perform tool offsets and troubleshooting, and carry out first-piece and in-process inspections.

Qualifications

• Independently read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Experience with CNC turning controls and program adjustments.
• Proficient in selecting tooling, workholding, and fixtures.
• Strong measurement and inspection skills for tight tolerances.
• Experience with high-precision, low-to-medium volume production preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate CNC turning centers.
• Read and interpret engineer drawings, specifications and GD&T.
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
• Perform tool offsets, wear adjustments, and process troubleshooting.
• Carry out first-piece and in-process inspections with precision instruments.
• Identify and resolve machining issues including dimensional variation and surface finish.
