Job summary

Reliant Systems, Inc. is seeking a CNC Lathe Set Up Machinist to prepare lathes from unfurnished state and produce parts within tight tolerances.

You will read prints, set up tooling, load programs, and verify readiness for production, ensuring accurate tolerances and high-quality results. The role requires fluent GD&T knowledge, experience with calipers and micrometers, and the ability to multitask across several machines while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check required
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Overtime flexibility as needed
• Fluent print reading with tolerancing and material specs
• GD&T fluency
• Experience with MS Office (Word/Excel)

Responsibilities

• Read prints and setup sheets to prepare tooling for lathes
• Load tooling and programs and verify machine readiness
• Prepare area and stage material before first part run
• Load and remove material in CNC machine
• Use calipers, micrometers, and gauge pins to check parts
• Identify parts not at spec and adjust offsets
• Run multiple machines when required
• Maintain cleanliness and communicate progress to supervisor
• Complete other tasks as assigned
• Follow internal procedures and verbal instructions
