Job summary

OPW, a Dover Corporation company, in Whitsett, North Carolina, seeks a CMM Operator on the first shift. You will operate CMMs, execute programs, and perform dimensional inspections to ensure parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

You will read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and document results using precision instruments, with collaboration across manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on CMM operating experience in manufacturing or machining environment.
• Experience using CMM software to execute and adjust existing programs.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Operate motorized bridge CMMs and portable measurement equipment (Romer/Faro Arms) per established programs.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final dimensional inspections to engineering drawings and specs.
• Document inspection results and maintain records supporting PPAP and quality requirements.
• Identify nonconforming material and communicate with production and quality teams.
• Troubleshoot basic CMM issues and escalate complex concerns as needed.
