Job summary

OPW is seeking a CMM Operator to operate coordinate measuring machines and portable CMM equipment, performing dimensional inspections to meet engineering specs and quality standards.

You will interpret GD&T, run established programs, document results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production and continuous improvement. A 3+ year track record in manufacturing CMM work is preferred, with attention to detail and safety.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating CMMs in a manufacturing or machining setting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances and use measurement tools.
• Experience with CMM programming and routine edits to programs.

Responsibilities

• Operate motorized bridge CMMs and portable CMM equipment (Romer/Faro Arms).
• Run established CMM programs and make routine edits as needed.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections per drawings and specs.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to select measuring equipment and assess accuracy.
• Document inspection results and maintain records for PPAP and quality.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality to resolve issues.
