Job summary

Modine is seeking a skilled Brazer to join its manufacturing team in the United States. You will assemble and join copper and other metal components using brazing techniques to ensure the efficiency of our cooling systems.

This role requires precision, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment alongside welders and quality control teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ years brazing/welding in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient with oxy‑acetylene torches and brazing equipment.
• Able to read blueprints, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Detail-oriented with strong quality inspection skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions.
• GED or high school diploma; brazing certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Brazing and soldering copper, brass, and metal components for chiller assemblies.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper assembly.
• Set up and operate brazing torches and equipment for strong joints.
• Inspect joints for quality and leak-proof integrity.
• Collaborate with welders, assemblers and quality control to maintain efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols for torches, gases and PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area per 5S and lean principles.
• Report defects, shortages or equipment issues to supervisor.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance quality and processes.
