Modine Manufacturing Company in the United States is seeking a skilled Brazer to join our production team, assembling copper and other metal components using brazing techniques to ensure efficient cooling systems.

You will read blueprints, set up torches, and maintain safety and quality in a fast-paced environment. This full-time role requires 1+ year brazing/welding experience and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years brazing/welding experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency with oxy-acetylene torches and brazing equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions for extended periods.
• High school diploma, GED or 2-3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Technical certification in welding or brazing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform brazing and soldering of copper, brass, and other metal components in the fabrication of chiller assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure proper assembly.
• Set up, adjust, and operate brazing torches and related equipment to achieve strong, leak-proof joints.
• Inspect joints for quality assurance, ensuring all work meets company and industry standards.
• Work closely with welders, assemblers, and quality control teams to maintain production efficiency and accuracy.
• Follow all safety protocols, including the proper handling of torches, gases, and other hazardous materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
• Identify and report any defects, material shortages, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor or maintenance team.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.
