Job summary

100Hires, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a skilled brazing technician to join our HVAC components operation. You will braze copper tubing and fittings, inspect joints, and ensure leak-free assemblies according to drawings and procedures.

The role requires reading blueprints, controlling flame and heat, and maintaining tools and safety practices for open flames and pressurized gases. Training and ongoing quality improvements are provided.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with oxy-acetylene torch operation and flame control.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Identify defective joints, overheating, or poor wetting and correct them promptly.
• Maintain safety practices for hot work, open flames, and pressurized gases.

Responsibilities

• Braze copper tubing and fittings to create leak-free joints.
• Inspect joints visually and with pressure/leak tests for integrity.
• Read blueprints and determine brazing requirements.
• Prepare joints by cleaning, aligning, and fluxing as required.
• Record production and quality data in logs or ERP systems.
• Train new brazers or operators when assigned.
• Report equipment malfunctions or material issues promptly.
