Job summary

SPX is seeking a Brazer in Portland, TN to join Engineered Air Movement. You will brazing copper tubing and components used in HVAC coils, ensuring leak-free joints meeting specs and quality standards.

You will read work orders and drawings, set up and operate brazing torches, and maintain safe, efficient production while aiming for on-time delivery. Ideal candidates have 2+ years experience and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of brazing, soldering, welding, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assemble coil components and prepare parts for brazing according to production requirements.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications.
• Set up, operate, and maintain brazing torches and related equipment.
• Maintain production output goals while ensuring workmanship meets quality expectations.
• Perform light maintenance on equipment used in daily work and work with minimum supervision.
