Job summary

Impact Staffing is seeking a Metal Fabricator / Brake Press Operator in Lawrenceville for a direct hire role. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on brake press experience and precision fabrication skills to form sheet metal components to exact specifications.

The position offers 1st shift (Mon-Thurs, 10 hour days) with an hourly rate of $20-$25. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on brake press experience and be able to read engineering drawings with careful attention to

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years hands-on brake press or metal fabrication experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tolerances.
Solid math skills for measuring angles and dimensions.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

Install tooling, dies, and punches; adjust back gauges, ram pressure, and depth settings on CNC or manual press brakes.
Bend, notch, and form sheet metal components according to engineering blueprints and production work orders.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, bend allowances, and tolerances.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and angle protractors.
Load, align, and unload raw sheet metal and finished parts safely, using cranes or team lifting as needed.
