Impact Staffing is seeking a Metal Fabricator / Brake Press Operator in Lawrenceville for a direct hire role. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on brake press experience and precision fabrication skills to form sheet metal components to exact specifications.

The position offers 1st shift (Mon-Thurs, 10 hour days) with an hourly rate of $20-$25. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on brake press experience and be able to read engineering drawings with careful attention to

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on brake press or metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tolerances.
• Solid math skills for measuring angles and dimensions.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Install tooling, dies, and punches; adjust back gauges, ram pressure, and depth settings on CNC or manual press brakes.
• Bend, notch, and form sheet metal components according to engineering blueprints and production work orders.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, bend allowances, and tolerances.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and angle protractors.
• Load, align, and unload raw sheet metal and finished parts safely, using cranes or team lifting as needed.

Schedule: Mon-Thurs, 1st Shift, 10 hour days
$20-$25 per hour / Direct Hire

What You'll Do

• Install tooling, dies, and punches; adjust back gauges, ram pressure, and depth settings on CNC or manual press brakes


• Bend, notch, and form sheet metal components according to engineering blueprints and production work orders


• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, bend allowances, and tolerances


• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and angle protractors


• Load, align, and unload raw sheet metal and finished parts safely, using cranes or team lifting as needed


• Perform routine equipment cleaning and minor preventative maintenance while following OSHA and facility safety guidelines

What We're Looking For

• Experience with CNC‑controlled fabrication equipment and reading technical blueprints


• Solid understanding of basic shop math, fractions, decimals, angles, and metric measurements


• High school diploma or equivalent


• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on brake press / metal fabrication experience
