Job summary

Materion Corporation is seeking a B-Plate Operator to help achieve daily production targets while ensuring quality and proper machine set-up. You will handle coils, set up mills, and troubleshoot equipment under supervision.

The role requires reading blueprints and process sheets, operating precision measuring tools, and using SAP for data entry. Prior manufacturing experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read process sheets and blueprints.
• Experience using micrometers and precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coil handling, loading to payoff, and measuring gauge and width with measuring devices.
• Set up the designated B-Plate Mill by interpreting process sheets, setting machine parameters, and applying lubrication.
• Adjust and correct machine set-ups to reduce thicknesses, reshape products, and eliminate defects.
• Inspect, measure raw materials and finished products for conformance to specifications.
• Read production orders, blueprints, and mill schedule to determine setup specifications and sequences.
• Monitor and adjust speeds of machine mechanisms using dial indicators.
• Collaborate with Scheduling and Maintenance regarding production issues.
• May work with an assigned helper.
• Enter data into the SAP system.
