Job summary

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints, drawings, and schematics to plan machining sequences.
• Interpreting GD&T and tolerances to verify parts meet spec.
• Using precision measuring devices to inspect finished workpieces.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics to determine the sequence of machining operations.
• Select, mount, and secure cutting tools and workpieces.
• Set machine parameters such as feeds, speeds, and depth.
• Inspect finished workpieces using precision measuring to ensure compliance with blueprint tolerances.
• Maintain a clean workspace, perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, and adhere to strict shop safety protocols.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• A strong grasp of applied shop math.
