Job summary

Syntec Optics, Inc. in Rochester, NY is hiring for a full-time Coating/Assembly position.

You will perform precision hand and machine assembly of finished products using a variety of equipment and tools, reading blueprints and customer specifications to ensure correct tolerances. The role requires at least 2 years of small parts assembly experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in small parts assembly or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Familiar with various trade tools.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiar with basic computer operations.

Responsibilities

• Assembles complex components and inspects connections for correct tolerance and fit.
• Operates various assembly and packaging equipment including lathes, mills, sonic welders, hot stamper, heat stakers, auto baggers.
• Reads and interprets customer prints and specifications.
• Identifies and resolves assembly issues and notifies supervisor.
• Completes production reports daily documenting scrap and downtime.
• May work on special projects and other related assignments as required.
