Job summary

Domaille Engineering, LLC in Rochester, MN is seeking a Precision Assembler to build sub-assemblies for high-precision equipment and fiber optic technologies. This hands-on role moves between stations, uses precision tooling, and emphasizes quality craftsmanship on the production floor.

You will work on varied tasks, following drawings and procedures, with ITAR considerations and opportunities for day-one benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
• High school graduate with trade/technical school education preferred in Mechatronics, Automation, Machine Tool Technology, Electrical Technology, or Robotics/Industrial Automation.
• Prior experience in precision assembly, manufacturing, or related technical hands-on environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with microscopy, metrology, hand and power tools, measuring instruments, or basic electronics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts to specifications and drawings using appropriate tools.
• Deburr or remove small quantities of metal to ensure proper fit.
• Visually inspect assembled parts for defects and report issues.
• Suggest process improvements to increase quality or productivity.
• Assist in developing and maintaining assembly methods, drawings, BOMs, and procedures.
• Use equipment and tools properly for assembly and inspection.
• Collaborate with coworkers and management to meet targets.
• Take on additional duties as needed.
