Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. in Missouri is seeking an Application Specialist to deliver and precisely apply crop protection products in fields, while communicating sales leads.

You will work under the Location Manager/Crop Specialist and apply products according to labels, safety rules, and agronomy best practices. This role requires operating sprayers and related equipment, maintaining records, calibrating machinery, and staying current with agronomy developments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agronomy training is a plus.
• Experience in agricultural application or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of crop protection inputs and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with GPS and precision agriculture technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mixes products and applies crop inputs according to rates and labels.
• Maintains, repairs, and operates spraying and other agricultural equipment.
• Calibrates equipment to ensure accurate application rates.
• Records crop applications and maintains compliance with regulations.
• Delivers products to customers and reports sales leads.
• Manages inventory and processes delivery tickets or invoices.
• Performs routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Assesses field conditions to determine timing and method of application.
• Follows safety protocols and ongoing training to stay compliant.
• Collects soil samples and participates in field scouting as needed.
