Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. is seeking an Application Specialist to precisely and safely apply agricultural inputs in field settings. You will operate and maintain specialized equipment while following agronomic plans and safety regulations.

The role requires CDL with endorsements, pesticide licenses within six months, and the ability to work outdoors across seasons. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential for coordinating with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agronomy training a plus.
• CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements within six months.
• Pesticide licenses within the first six months.
• Experience operating sprayers, spreaders, and other ag machinery.
• Knowledge of agronomy practices and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain custom application equipment (sprayers, spreaders, etc.).
• Apply crop inputs per agronomic plans and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform pre- and post-application equipment inspections.
• Follow maps and instructions for precise product placement and rates.
• Monitor weather and field conditions to time applications.
• Maintain records of applications (products, rates, areas).
• Coordinate with customers and agronomists to schedule applications.
• Adhere to PPE and safety protocols; assist with inventory reporting.
• Perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.
