Job summary

PARR is seeking an Operational Inventory Controller to keep counts in sync with the POS system at our Salem location. You’ll perform daily cycle counts and audits, maintain locations, and work with Yard Management to reduce loss while ensuring customer orders stay on time.

Responsibilities include supervising inventory accuracy, assisting with receiving and returns, and coaching teammates to uphold best practices. Safety and precision are essential in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experienced in the Lumber industry.
• Knowledgeable in inventory control principles and protocols.
• Must be able to operate a PC, smartphone, scanner and related equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Class C driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Understanding of auditing best practices preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory counts (cycle counts, stock checks, etc.).
• Maintain accurate counts relative to POS system and company standards.
• Audit and investigate discrepancies between on‑hand and system quantities.
• Maintain product locations and site location maps.
• Collaborate with Yard Management and Receiving to ensure readiness.
• Assist with receiving, material returns, and on‑time‑in‑full commitments.
• Coach teammates on inventory processes and best practices.
• Keep records of adjustments and counts for auditing.
