Job summary

Parr Lumber Company in Salem, OR is seeking an Operational Inventory Controller to maintain accurate counts aligned with the POS system. You will perform daily cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and adjust records while collaborating with the Location Manager and yard team to minimize loss and ensure on-time inventory readiness.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, experience in the lumber industry, proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems, and the ability to operate a

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experienced in the Lumber industry.
• Knowledgeable in inventory control principles and protocols.
• Must be able to operate a PC, smartphone, scanner; forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory counts daily, including cycle counts and stock checks.
• Maintain accurate counts in relation to the POS system and company standards.
• Audit discrepancies and adjust records for damaged, returned, or backordered items.
• Collaborate with Location Manager and yard staff to minimize loss and ensure readiness.
• Maintain product locations and participate in physical inventories as needed.
• Support receiving and material return processes and pricing label upkeep.
