Job summary

This OIC role emphasizes precise inventory control, cycle counts, and collaboration with Location Management. The position reports to the Location Manager and requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams including Receiving, Load Checkers,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experienced in the Lumber industry.
• Knowledgeable in inventory control principles and protocols.
• Ability to speak, write, and read English required.
• Must be able to operate a personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Point-of-sale system experience.
• Class C driver’s license and must have and maintain a good driving record required.
• Understanding of auditing best practices preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift preferred.
• Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and made of leather or composite material required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory counts daily as required (cycle counts, stock checks).
• Maintain accurate inventory counts in relation to system counts.
• Audit and investigate causes of inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain and correct negative quantities.
• Adjust for product damage, theft, or cull.
• Audit for dead stock and non-stock inventory.
• Collaborate with other OICs to resolve issues.
• Maintain product locations and site location map.
• Assist with receiving and stocking and customer service at the location.
• Support with duties from location management as needed.
