Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Birmingham, AL is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to accurately post and apply payments and support accounts receivable processes. This onsite role requires strong Excel skills and working knowledge of ERP systems.

You will handle daily payments, reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain meticulous records. 1–3 years in cash application or AR is preferred; competitive compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of cash application, accounts receivable, or related experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems/ERP

Responsibilities

• Post and apply daily customer payments (ACH, wire, check, credit card)
• Reconcile payments to customer accounts and invoices
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and account activity
• Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding payment issues
• Assist with month-end closing and reporting
