Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector I to perform plant quality control on precast and prestressed concrete. You will check forms, reinforcement, and forms before pours, run fresh concrete tests, and inspect finished pieces for dimensions before shipment.

Qualifications

• PCI Level I certification or equivalent in concrete quality control.
• Ability to read shop drawings and verify calculations.
• Comfort with plant hours and early production schedules.
• Honesty and accuracy in data and records.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forms, reinforcement, embeds, and blockouts against shop drawings before pours.
• Verify strand tensioning records against calculated values.
• Run fresh concrete tests and cast cylinders per ASTM C31.
• Inspect finished products for dimensions, camber, finish, and defects.
• Coordinate with production to ensure proper release and shipment.
