Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector I to perform plant quality control on precast and prestressed concrete, ensuring forms, reinforcement, and strand data meet specs before shipment. You will run fresh concrete tests, cast cylinders, and inspect finished pieces for dimensions and defects.

Qualifications include PCI Level I or ACI Grade I with plant experience; reads shop drawings and tensioning records; willing to work early shifts with travel to plants as needed.

Qualifications

• PCI QC Level I or ACI Grade I with 1+ years in precast/plants.
• Ability to read shop drawings and tensioning calculations.
• Willingness to work early production schedules and travel to plants.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forms, reinforcement, embeds, and blockouts before pours against shop drawings.
• Verify strand tensioning elongation and force records against calculated values.
• Run fresh concrete tests (slump, air, temperature, unit weight) and cast cylinders.
• Inspect finished products for dimensions, camber, finish, and defects before shipment.
