Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, seeks a design engineer to create shop drawings for precast concrete molds using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. The role is onsite in Avon, CT and collaborates with Plant Manager, Production, and Shop Foremen to ensure drawings reflect the latest specs.

Responsibilities include generating DXF files for CNC, maintaining catalog drawings, and updating engineering drawings per customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of AutoCAD/Autodesk Inventor experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree preferred).
• 5+ years Mechanical DFM/structural steel design experience.
• Working knowledge of precast concrete and formwork preferred.
• Ability to review and understand engineer drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to interpret feedback and implement revisions.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Create shop drawings of products using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Generate .DXF files from Inventor models for CNC machinery.
• Design high-quality steel molds from customer drawings for precast production.
• Adhere to customer volumes, timelines, and expectations.
• Prepare/modify catalog drawings for production and QA.
• Prepare product assembly or shop drawings for staff and plant projects.
• Update digital database using Autodesk Vault and OneDrive.
• Other duties as assigned.
