Job summary

CRH is seeking a design engineer in Avon, CT to create precast concrete mold drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. You will prepare/modify drawings per specs, generate DXF files for CNC machines, and maintain catalog drawings for production and QA.

You will work with Plant Manager and shop staff to ensure products meet latest drawings and customer requirements, with opportunities to revise as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of AutoCAD/Autodesk Inventor experience.
• 5+ years Mechanical DFM or structural steel design.
• Working knowledge of precast concrete and formwork preferred.
• Ability to read engineer drawings and specs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong math skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Create shop drawings of products using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Generate DXF files from Inventor models for CNC machinery.
• Design high quality, functional steel molds from customer drawings.
• Adhere to internal/external volumes, timelines and expectations.
• Maintain catalog drawings for production and QA.
• Prepare product assembly/shop drawings for staff and plant projects.
• Update digital database using Autodesk Vault and OneDrive.
