Job summary

SSM Health is hiring a Preboarding Specialist to join a team known for open communication and support. You will manage background checks, credentials, compliance, and onboarding timelines for hires and internal transfers, delivering high-quality service.

This hybrid role requires 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. with onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Mission Hill corporate office. Collaborative environment and opportunity to impact the employee experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and manages background checks for hires. Collaborates with each new hire to complete onboarding tasks and health screenings.
• Ensures new hire meets minimum requirements for position and that licenses/credentials are entered in Workday.
• Completes required state regulatory checks requested by auditors and provides background check results in a timely manner.
• Manages pre-adverse process and coordinates with HR Market and legal for rescinding offers.
• Creates welcome letters and login information for new hires.
• Coordinates day 1 activities including badge photos and I-9 documentation for compliance and E-Verify.
