Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Preadmission Assessment team in Wisconsin. This role conducts comprehensive preoperative phone assessments, verifies medical records, ensures required clearances and forms, reviews instructions, and answers patient questions to support safe surgical experiences.

The PAT RN collaborates with Surgical Services to prevent delays, supports nine specialty areas, and is the final checkpoint before surgery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Current RN license with multi-state or single-state privileges to practice in the state(s) where services are provided.
• BLS certification; additional certifications may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, involving patients and families.
