Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Preadmission Testing RN for the Preadmission Assessment department. The PAT RN conducts preoperative phone assessments, verifies records, ensures clearances, reviews instructions, and answers patient questions to prevent delays before surgery.

Responsibilities include using the nursing process, maintaining patient records, communicating with the care team, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing education program.
• BLS certification required; RN license in state of practice.
• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and updates care plans accordingly.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
