Job summary

Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, WI seeks a PAT RN (Pre-Admission Testing) to coordinate and manage patient preparation for ambulatory procedures. This on-site role blends clinical judgment with administrative coordination, ensuring patients meet ASC guidelines.

Requires Wisconsin RN licensure (or multi-state), and BLS within 30 days. Prior Med/Surg or ambulatory experience is preferred; ACLS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of nursing education completed at an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Current state of Wisconsin RN license or multi-state license is required.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient preparation for surgical or medical procedures.
• Optimize preoperative testing (labs, imaging, ECGs) and arrange specialty clearances.
• Communicate with anesthesia providers to ensure patients meet ASC criteria.
• Communicate with patients and families via phone, secure messaging, or telehealth.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EHR and coordinate with scheduling, lab and imaging.
