Qualifications

• 7+ years of welding automation, pre-sales applications, or robotic systems integration.
• Solid understanding of GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, and robotic arc welding processes; how materials and joint fit-up impact feasibility.
• Proficiency reviewing or drafting conceptual cell layouts using CAD tools.
• Strong presentation and client-facing communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder within driving radius of Pewaukee, WI.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical feasibility: review parts, drawings, and specs to evaluate weld feasibility and scope.
• Architect welding automation concepts: select processes, power sources, tooling, and cell layouts.
• Develop technical proposals: create layouts, cycle-time estimates, labor hours, and BOMs.
• Conduct process trials and testing: coordinate weld samples, trials, and feasibility tests.
• Travel to customer facilities (~15%): gather requirements, lead design reviews, present solutions.
• Ensure compliance: adhere to AWS D1.1, ASME IX, and customer specs.
