Job summary

Solutionz, Inc. is seeking an AV Design Engineer to design audiovisual system solutions that meet customer requirements and clearly define capabilities and limitations. This local, field-based role supports sales through quotes and solution development.

You will collaborate with customers, sales, project management, CAD, and operations to ensure solutions are technically sound, accurately estimated, and aligned with customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• CTS is a professional certification required or preferred.
• CTS-D certification preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in AV technical role.
• Knowledge of AV and Architectural drawings.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure.
• Extensive knowledge of Crestron and other control systems.
• Extensive knowledge of DSP and conferencing devices.
• Ability to read construction drawings and system wiring diagrams.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Willingness for after-hours and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites and accompany sales during site visits.
• Develop and provide BOM based on approved SOF.
• Create system flow diagram and labor estimator.
• Coordinate with CAD team for construction drawings.
• Develop Technical Scope of Work for field operations.
• Review SOF and BOM with PM for post-award processing.
• Support with design, bid pricing, and material estimates for proposals.
• Meet with vendors to evaluate products when requested.
• Provide technical support to other departments.
