HireSparks AV Recruiting seeks an Audio Visual Sales Engineer to provide design and sales support to Account Managers, translating client needs into detailed technical designs. The role requires collaboration across architects, engineers, and internal teams to meet budgets and schedules.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in AV design, a BS in engineering, CTS/CTS-D or equivalent certifications, and proficiency with ACAD, Excel, Outlook and proposal tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing or operating audio, video, and lighting systems.
• BS in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with ACAD, Excel, Outlook, Word, and proposal generation tools.
• CTS, CTS-D, or manufacturer-specific certifications (completed or in progress).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to complete projects within budget and deadlines.
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel (US only) and work evenings/weekends as required.
• Professional appearance and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales team with accurate design support for bids and proposals.
• Ensure installation projects are designed within budgeted hours and deadlines.
• Maintain design accuracy, documentation, and system close-out deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Keep skills and certifications current with ongoing training and manufacturer courses.
• Attend trade shows and industry training to stay updated on technology.
• Utilize ACAD, proposal generation software, and workflow tools to produce system designs.
