• Obtains and documents demographic, insurance, referrals, and pre-registration details before service.
• Certifies patient data and financial information collected during scheduling and pre-registration.
• Sets and documents payment arrangements or deposits; screens patients for available credit options.
• Communicates with payers to determine coverage, limitations, or co-payments.
• Identifies underinsured or low-income patients and refers them to financial assistance options.
• Performs duties in line with Penn Medicine values, policies, and procedures.
• Supports training and mentoring of staff as needed.
