Responsibilities

• Pre-Register / Register Patients, verify correct medical record and visit account.
• Enter/ update complete demographic information and reasons for visit with ICD codes.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits and plan identification; screen for service capitation.
• Secure/verify necessary authorizations to prevent charge denials; monitor until complete.
• Enter physician orders into the ADM/ITS; check Medical Necessity and ABN processing.
• Identify and collect patient financial responsibility; direct to financial assistance if needed.
