Job summary

St. Luke’s is seeking an Experienced CNA II to join the Pre-Operative Care team in Boise.

The role focuses on coordinating patient check-ins and communication among patients, families, surgeons, and care teams in a fast-paced surgical and endoscopy setting. Responsibilities include supporting operations for up to 100 patients daily, ensuring accurate documentation and exceptional customer service, and leveraging Epic EHR to streamline scheduling and communication.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant II (CNA II) with more than six months of direct patient care experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification through recognized bodies (AHA/AHSI/Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Support patient care operations in a high-volume Pre-Operative and Endoscopy environment.
• Coordinate care for up to 100 patients and families daily with accuracy and courtesy.
• Collaborate with surgeons, charge nurses, anesthesia teams, CNAs, and other healthcare staff.
• Handle phone calls, inquiries, and time-sensitive communications professionally.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families, providers, and care teams through the surgical process.
• Monitor status boards, schedules, and workflows to keep progress updated.
• Utilize Epic to track patient information, schedules, and daily operations.
• Multitask by coordinating check-ins, phone calls, statuses, and provider needs in a fast-paced setting.
