Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our nursing team on the Surgical Prep and Recovery unit. This full-time day-shift role on four 9-hour shifts per week entails patient care, clerical duties, and coordination under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities include nursing care, patient comfort, documentation, and assisting with unit operations.

Qualifications

• CNA credential required (Idaho) or completion of Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers required at hire.
• Six months CNA experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Ability to care for patients across age groups per unit standards.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical staff on the unit with clerical tasks, reception, and patient services.
• Provide nursing care and non-professional services under licensed nurse supervision.
• Ensure accurate documentation of services and supplies for revenue management.
• Assist Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in patient care activities with high quality service.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to facilitate care and service.
• May prepare and maintain patient records, transcribe orders, and process tests as directed.
• May be trained as cardiac monitoring technician based on operational needs.
