Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System is seeking a Part-Time CNA to support the Coronary Observation Unit in Boise. You will provide essential patient care, assist with unit clerk duties, and help maintain efficient patient flow in a 0.7 FTE schedule (two 9-hour shifts and one 10-hour shift weekly).

Qualifications

• Current CNA Certification in the State of Practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services for patients' personal needs and comfort.
• Creates charts, manages supplies, restocks, and answers phones; includes unit clerk duties.
• May perform EKGs and obtain vital signs as part of routine care.
• No overnight, no weekends, or major holidays.

The Coronary Observation Unit (Boise) is an outpatient unit that works closely with the in-patient units (3 Tele, 7E, 6E, 4S, SICU, MICU).

Our team of Certified Nursing Assistants play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to patients.

The Coronary Observation Unit (Boise) is an outpatient unit that works closely with the in-patient units (3 Tele, 7E, 6E, 4S, SICU, MICU).

Schedule:

Part-Time Days (0.7 FTE)

Work two 9-hour shifts and one 10-hour shift each week, totaling 56 hours per pay period.

What You Can Expect

• Shift times are typically 0530-1800 (May be required to stay later if there are still patients on unit)
• Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
• This is a CNA/HUC position allowing for direct patient care and unit clerk duties
  • Creating charts, supply management, re-stocking, answering phones, with some clinical skill - able to perform EKGs, get a set of vital signs and very seldomly removing IVs
• Eligible to apply for scholarships to pursue Nursing Education
• This is a No overnight, No weekends, or Major holidays position

Qualifications:

• Education: No Education Required
• Licenses/Certifications: Current CNA Certification in the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
