Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and supervise Unit Assistants in Covington, LA. The role supports a team-based approach to nursing, with shifts that may be 8 or 12 hours and a rotating call schedule.

Qualifications include NLN-accredited nursing program completion, LA RN licensure, BLS, and ALS/PALS within 6 months. Prior medical-surgical or critical care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN accredited school of nursing and LA RN licensure.
• Current BLS certifications through ILCOR provided courses with manikin check-off.
• ALS/PALS required within 6 months of hire. Two years current med-surg/critical care or same day surgery experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a group of patients during a designated time frame and provide care via nursing process and team members.
• Supervises the activities of Unit Assistants.
• Rotating call required.
