Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years cardiovascular experience preferred in acute care facility.
• Graduate from a NLN accredited school of nursing; current LA RN license; BLS required or obtained during orientation; ALS required within 6 months of hire.
• ILCOR courses with manikin check off (e.g., American Heart Association, Red Cross) are acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perioperative RN is accountable for planning and directing care for patients undergoing operative procedures and for supervising the surgical team.
• Directs and supervises the surgical team members during operative cases.
