St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate clinical activities for Medical/Surgical patients.

The role emphasizes applying the nursing process to plan, implement, evaluate and provide patient care, while adhering to hospital policies and standards. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants and CNAs, and must meet licensure, BLS (required on hire), ACLS encouraged, and basic EKG readiness.

Qualificações

• Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.
• Current LA RN licensure.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• ACLS encouraged.
• Basic EKG encouraged within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent computer skills required.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, and meet holiday and weekend requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate clinical activities for Medical/Surgical patients, using the nursing process to plan, implement, evaluate and provide care.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Adhere to hospital policies and nursing standards while supporting department and hospital goals.
