Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking a Perioperative RN to provide expert care for patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures. You will plan, direct and coordinate perioperative nursing activities and supervise the surgical team.

The ideal candidate will have an NLN-accredited nursing program, a Louisiana RN license, BLS and ALS certifications, and CNOR is preferred. On-call availability within 30 minutes is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from NLN accredited school of nursing with LA RN license.
• BLS required or obtained during orientation; ALS required within 6 months.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients during perioperative period using nursing process and teamwork.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate perioperative care and supervise the surgical team.
• Be available for on-call within 30 minutes; night and weekend shifts may be required.
