Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking an experienced perianesthesia nurse in Bryan, TX to provide direct nursing care across age groups in the Pre- and Post-operative settings. The role involves applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, with potential to serve as Charge nurse under the CNO.

The incumbent may float to other patient care areas as needed and will participate in rotating on-call coverage during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Texas.
• BLS certification required; renewals every 2 years.
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of employment.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Experience in PACU, ambulatory or critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and/or provides professional perianesthesia nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum.
• Utilizes nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate care in Pre-Post operative settings.
• May serve as Charge nurse providing supervision to PACU/pre-op staff as directed by the CNO.
• Willingness to float to other patient care areas as needed and take call on a rotating basis.
