Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Registered Nurse to provide peri-operative patient care in an ambulatory surgical setting.

Under supervision of the PACU Manager or Director of Nursing, you will perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care according to policies and procedures. Qualifications include RN licensure in good standing, CPR/ACLS/PALS within 60 days, and at least two years in critical care areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of professional nursing with current RN licensure.
• Ability to obtain CPR, ACLS, PALS certification within 60 days of employment.
• Experience in ICU/Emergency/Recovery or critical care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in ambulatory surgical center.
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Communicate changes in patient status to physicians, family and staff.
• Ensure discharge criteria are met and provide post-operative instructions.
• Participate in NSH benchmarking programs to deliver quality care.
